Person with Disability Programme

Supported by the Archdiocese of Toronto in the year 2023-24 SSSS was dedicated in assisting persons with disabilities in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar. Our dedicated staff received special training on various type of disabilities, enabling them to effectively serve this community and help them to lead to the mainstream. In Gandhinagar, Aravali, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha districts, through a baseline survey, our staff collected essential economic and disability-specific information. The animators go to different villages in the project area and work with the Disability people by linking up with Panchayat, Anganwadi, Primary Health Center and stakeholders. In which the Disability people are connected with various government schemes. Such as Disability Pension Scheme, Bus Pass, Railway Pass, Disability Marriage Assistance Scheme, Sadhan Assistance Scheme and help in getting financial assistance for business and employment. In addition, work is done on their rights and education of Disability children as well as for their rehabilitation in the society.
